Historic photo exhibit in Kapaau

In conjunction with the 2015 Kohala Reunion, North Kohala Public Library in Kapaau is displaying a selection of historic photographs of Kohala now through July 10 that focuses on the sugar plantation era. The collection includes homes, public spaces, landscapes, and plantation facilities in Kohala from 1880 through 1963.

The exhibit is open from noon to 8 p.m. on Mondays; 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays. North Kohala Library is located next to Takata Market on the Akoni Pule Highway. For more information, call 889-6655.
