Diabetes education series in Waimea

A four-part diabetes education series, led by nutritionist and diabetes educator Vivienne Aronowitz, begins on Saturday, July 25 in Waimea. The weekly classes explain diabetes and how to manage blood sugars with lifestyle changes. Supermarket and farmers market tours, recipes and a food tasting are included, along with easy exercise and stress management tips. Classes are each Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. beginning July 25 through Aug. 15 at 65-1241 Pomaikai Pl #6 on the corner of Opelo Rd.
