Celebrating a century
WAIMEA — This year marks the centennial of Waimea Elementary School Building N, the town’s first public schoolhouse that served generations of Waimea children.
In celebration, the public is invited to a free event from 1-4 p.m. on Oct. 1 at Isaacs Art Center that will feature live entertainment, unseen treasures from the vault, guided tours of Rhythm of the Round: The Modernism of Madge Tennent show and birthday cake.
