A er a day of hiking and bonding at Wailea Beach, middle school students returned to school to sleep. Highlights the next morning included a giant slip and slide and a middle school-wide water balloon ght. Upper school students enjoyed a day of Harry Potter-themed teambuilding activities, organized and run by the senior class, before setting up camp at the Polo Fields on Kohala Ranch. Parker’s campout tradition began in the 1980s to serve as a team building and bonding experience for students. For many middle school students, a giant slipin slide was the highlight of campout. (PHOTO COURTESY OF PARKER SCHOOL) Waimea Country School Food Pantry Service Project resumes Students and teachers at Waimea Country School (WCS) continue their community service project this school year, donating both food and labor to the Annunciation Community Food Pantry. e project, now in its seventh year of partnership, predates the current class of fourth and h- grade students. In the last six years, the WCS ‘ohana donated 6,117 pounds of food that went directly to those in OF need in the community. During that same period, WCS student volunteers, repackaged 21,495 pounds of rice, to be distributed to families.
